Replacement of Red #40: Black Food Color, Organic Black (Red) Food Color is derived from 100% black and red currents and is characteristic of red strawberry. (Does not contain strawberries) At full strength it is a bright red color and with dilution yields a beautiful red color. Natural food colors are becoming more popular with consumers especially as evidence shows a correlation between certain diseases and the use of artificial colors.
