Who is Seelect Tea?

Tea drinkers are very serious about their tea and we are too. Seelect Tea has been creating the essence of nature for over 25 years. With a multitude of natural and organic products, Seelect Tea is a leader in nutritional wellness. We bring life to tea and coffee with our pure, honest approach to gathering the nutritional gifts that Mother Earth provides. Seelect Tea’s products are derived from 100% natural sources and are ideal for anyone with a desire to create their own blends. In addition to great taste, many of the products we carry are steeped in great tradition, reflecting the part of the world from which they came. Seelect Tea carries a variety of teas and coffees including black teas, green teas, rooibos, and organic flavored coffees, only to name a few.

How should I store my tea?

Though most teas technically do not expire, the shelf life of Seelect Tea’s teas is approximately two years. We suggest storing an open box of tea in an airtight container for optimal freshness.

What does 'organic' mean?

Simply put, the word ‘organic’ means that products are created, grown, or raised in a fully humane fashion without the use of pesticides, synthetic fertilizers, hormones, or genetically modified hormones. Seelect Tea’s products are deemed organic by Organic Certifiers. At Seelect Tea, we take pride in bringing you the safest, most natural products possible.

Are your tea bags bleach-free?

The tea bags that Seelect Tea uses are completely bleach-free. Companies started bleaching tea bags only for visual appeal. Other companies use chemicals including chlorine, but Seelect chooses to forgo that process, assuring that you, our customer, only receives the purest form of tea. There is no difference in taste taste or difference in how well the tea brews when added to hot water. The only difference is that bleached tea bags are bright pearly white and natural tea bags have a darker hue. Seelect chooses to use natural tea bags because we believe in using products that are as close to nature as possible.

Can Seelect Tea's teas be enjoyed iced?

Absolutely. Seelect Tea’s teas can be enjoyed however you wish. Some people have a preference for hot tea, while others have a preference for iced tea. No matter how you prepare it, we know you’ll enjoy it the quality ingredients and health benefits that each tea has to offer.

May I have a free sample?

At Seelect Tea, products are made fresh to order in-house, so we unfortunately do not offer samples because we simply do not maintain stock on-hand. We suggest first purchasing a smaller size to see how it works within your application.

Do you offer wholesale or bulk pricing?

We do not offer wholesale or bulk pricing; we only sell by volume. Therefore, our lowest possible price point is listed online. You are always welcome to order as many of one size as you'd like, as there is no limit.

What kind of technology do you use?

To make our original creations, we mix the art of making flavors and scents with the science of modern techniques. We specialize in custom formulations because we know that one flavor or scent does not always fit all. Our quality control department is staffed by microbiologists and chemists that utilize state-of-the-art technology. Seelect Tea utilizes the latest in modern gas chromatography–mass spectrometry (GC-MS) and mass spectrometry (MS) and uses high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) tactics.

What are natural flavors?

Our products are made using natural, non-chemical methods of extraction, such as water extraction, alcohol extraction, vegetable oil extraction, and steam distillation. Our extraction methods ensure that our finished products are free of any synthetics, including phthalates, parabens, sulfates, glycols, petrochemicals, or any other chemical solvents. All flavors are derived from 100% plant, fruit, or vegetable matter. By using these methods, we obtain 100% natural products. In addition, we do not add any artificial preservatives, stabilizers, or artificial colors to our products. We also exclude the use of all allergens recognized by the FDA. Many of our products are USDA Certified Organic.

What is the best way for me to place an order?

Generally, all of our orders are placed online through our website. This is to ensure you select the exact products you desire and input all contact information accurately. You will be able to confirm your payment method and shipping address upon check-out and will receive an invoice once the order is confirmed.

How soon can my order be processed?

Orders placed after 2:00pm PST will be processed the next business day. Seelect Tea makes every effort to process and ship orders as soon as possible, excluding weekends and holidays. Occasionally, orders may be delayed due to inventory shortages or increased order volume. Our processing time varies per order because each product is made to order, meaning you get the freshest product possible. Please keep in mind the additional transit time for your product to arrive once we ship it when estimating your order's arrival date. Respectively, we use USPS Priority or UPS to ship our orders.

Oops, how do I cancel my order?

All order cancellations must occur within 24 hours from the time of order. Any order not cancelled within the 24 hours will be subject to a 25% disposal fee.

What happens once my order has been placed?

Nearly every product is made fresh to order in-house. Once an order is placed, it reaches the hands of our production team who work as quickly as they can to create and fill your order. From there, each product will travel to our labeling department to be individually labeled before reaching our shipping department. This ensures that you are receiving the absolute freshest products possible.

What is the typical turnaround time?

We make each product fresh to order in house, even down to the individual label. Therefore, we do ask that you allow about 1-3 days for processing on all standard orders and 7-10 days for processing on all commercial orders (anything over $300). If a time arises where you need the product quicker than usual, we do offer an expediting option which will guarantee shipping on the 2nd business day.

I need my products ASAP. Is that possible?

For orders $100 or less, the expedite fee is $35. For orders over $100, the standard expedite fee is 35% of the order subtotal. Expedited orders will be shipped within two (2) business days of payment receipt.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes, we do. When placing your order online, please select your country from the drop-down menu. Shipping charges will be calculated accordingly.

What options do I have for payment?

We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and PayPal. We also welcome payment by cashier’s check or money order. Merchandise will not be processed or shipped until payment is received. Personal checks and purchase orders are not accepted.

What methods does Seelect Tea use for shipping?

All orders are shipped via UPS or USPS. We do not ship COD (Cash on Delivery).

How do I track my package?

Seelect Tea provides tracking capability on all shipments. Tracking numbers are emailed after carrier pickup. If your product(s) is/are delivered to the wrong address, or lost by the carrier, tracking information will aid in package recovery. The carrier is responsible for locating lost and/or misplaced merchandise.

What if my shipment was damaged?

In the rare event you receive damaged merchandise, please contact Seelect Tea’s customer service department at (714) 771-3317 as soon as possible to report the damage. Upon our receipt of the shipment, we are required to file a claim per transportation company procedures. Please note: The transportation company will require inspection of the packaging and contents. Therefore, all original packaging must be held for inspection. Detailed digital photographs showing the box, packaging materials and said-damage may be acceptable as evidence for claim purposes. Insured Shipping: UPS and USPS shipments are insured up to $100. If additional insurance is desired, please inform us when placing your order. When ordering online, requests for additional insurance can be made in the comments section of our website.

What if there are weather related issues with my package?

We are not responsible for damage to goods caused by inclement weather.

Are shipping costs ever refundable?

Unfortunately, shipping costs are non-refundable.

What happens if I refuse a package?

All orders where delivery is refused by the customer will be billed for shipping costs plus a 25% disposal fee. Shipping costs associated with merchandise returned to Seelect Tea due to an incorrect address (if provided by the customer), or unclaimed packages returned to us, are the responsibility of the customer. Authorized returns are subject to a 25% disposal fee. If reshipment of unclaimed returned packages is desired, additional shipping costs will apply.

Can I return an item?

All sales are final. The only exceptions are any problems directly related to product quality due to our workmanship. Please pay careful attention at checkout to ensure you are purchasing the products you need. We guarantee the quality of all Seelect Tea products. Due to the nature of natural and organic products, we recommend customers unfamiliar with our products start with smaller quantities for testing purposes prior to purchasing a large order. If an error occurs in the manufacturing process, we will gladly resolve the issue or replace an inadequate product. Per established health and safety programs, we are required to destroy returned merchandise. The item can be replaced at our discretion.

What if a product tastes different than I thought it would?

No refunds are issued for products returned based on personal taste preferences. All issues will be submitted to our Quality Control Department for testing, according to the 'lot' the product was produced in.

Do your products have medical qualities?

Information provided on www.seelecttea.com regarding the use of any products DOES NOT constitute a doctor-patient relationship between you and any person affiliated with Seelect Tea. You should not use the information on www.seelecttea.com for diagnosing or treating a health problem or disease, for prescribing medication, or other treatment. You should always speak with your physician or other healthcare professional before taking any medication or nutritional, herbal, or homeopathic supplement, or adopting any treatment for a health problem. Seelect Tea does not support the misuse of our natural and organic flavors in electronic cigarettes or other treatment products. Information and statements regarding dietary supplements or natural and organic products have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration and are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent disease.

How do I get a COA or spec sheet?

We do provide product COAs and spec sheets, but only once an order is placed. Every product is made fresh to order and we use the batch number to develop the documents with full accuracy.
