History & Health:
Documented research shows that Rooibos is the strongest antioxidant tea available, up to 50 times more than green tea. Rooibos tea comes from Aspalathus linearis, which only grows in South Africa. The leaves from this bush oxidize, giving the tea its vibrant earthy red color. Unlike black and green tea, rooibos tea is naturally caffeine-free, while still containing large amounts of antioxidants. Some have additioanlly experienced a soothing effect in the stomach for cramps, relief of nervous tension, allergies and insomnia. It also has been reported it to reduce cholesterol and high blood pressure.
Steeping Directions:
Pour one cup of fresh boiling water over tea bag, steep 4-6 minutes. The longer Seelect Tea’s Berry Rooibos Tea steeps, the stronger the flavor. People commonly drink Rooibos tea with milk and honey, and sometimes lemon.
