History & Health:
Called ‘clear eye’ in early times, clary sage has a forcefully fun character. Clary sage is known to have a mucilaginous coat and has historically been used to clear the eye if something falls into it. A single seed was placed in the eye and the seed’s mucilaginous coat would absorb the object, making the problem fairly easy to relieve. In addition, the essential oil from clary sage is highly enjoyed, as it is used in many perfumes and liquors. Seelect Tea’s Joviality Aromatheratea is great for tired or strained eyes, perhaps from working long days at a computer or from long stretches of driving.
Steeping Directions:
Pour one cup of fresh boiling water over tea, steep 4-6 minutes. The longer the tea steeps, the stronger the flavor. Lemon or honey may be added.

Chamomile, Oatstraw, Spearmint, Peppermint, Raspberry, Sage, Yarrow, Licorice Root, Rose Hips, Sarsaparilla, Essential Oil of Clary Sage, Natural Flavors.
