In Greek mythology, Achilles was documented to have painted his whole body, with the exception of his heels, with yarrow to protect him from arrows. In Britain, it was said that yarrow was sewn into a cloth pouch and placed beneath a woman's bed pillow in hopes to bring dreams of her future husband. Essentially, yarrow was not only valued throughout history, but is equally as important today.
